Big Splash Log Flume
The Big Splash ride was purchased from D.D. Hopkins of Contoocook, New Hampshire. The total purchase price was $207,083.94. The ride was a prototype; the first of it’s kind, designed specifically for Wonderland.
The length of the ride is 578 ft. It began with 6 boats (logs) with a capacity of 4 passengers. The logs climb up the 20 ft by 25 ft vertical conveyor slope using 15 horsepower pumps.
This rides’ addition to the park was a huge milestone, demonstrating the owners’ commitment to the city of Amarillo and its intents.
