The addition of the Bumper Car ride reflected a major milestone for Wonderland Amusement Park.
Originally called KiddieLand, Wonderland Park spent the early years focusing on rides for young children.
But, when the Bumper Cars arrived, the game changed forever.
The ride made the Park more appealing to older residents, as did the name change to Wonderland Park that quickly followed.
The cars on the ride were purchased from Reverchon International Design of Jamois, France.
The original Bumper Car building was built in-house and was located across from Skeeball Building.
The new Bumper Car building was purchased from Rides 4-U and was relocated to the North end of the park by the second loop of the Texas Tornado.
